La 135ª Divisione Corazzata Ariete II fu costituita a Ferrara il 1º aprile 1943 sul comando della 2ª Divisione Celere e unità di cavalleria corazzata. Non avendo ancora finito il periodo di addestramento, il 26 luglio fu spostata a nord di Roma, per sostituire in quella zona la Centauro II. Inquadrata nel Corpo d'Armata Motocorazzato partecipò il 9 settembre ed il 10 settembre ai combattimenti contro le unità tedesche nella zona del Lago di Bracciano e di Porta San Paolo. Fu sciolta il 12 settembre 1943.
The 135 Armoured Division Ariete II was formed in Ferrara on 1 April 1943 the command of the 2nd Fast Division and armored cavalry units. Having not yet finished the training period, on July 26 it was moved to the north of Rome, in the area to replace the Centaur II. Framed in the Motoarmored Army Corp took part on September 9 and September 10 in the fighting against the German units in the area of Bracciano's lake and the Porta San Paolo. It was disbanded on 12 September 1943.
